Who is Not Eligible?
The scheme has specific exclusions. You cannot apply if you:
Are younger than 21 or older than 24.
Are currently studying full-time OR working full-time.
Hold a degree from premier institutions (IITs, IIMs, NLUs, IISER, NIDs, IIITs).
Hold professional qualifications (CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS) OR a Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD (UGC recognized).
Are undergoing any other government skill/apprenticeship/internship/training scheme.
Have already completed an apprenticeship under NATS or NAPS.
Have family income (self/parents/spouse) exceeding Rs. 8 Lakh for FY 2023-24.
Have a family member (self/parents/spouse) who is a permanent/regular government employee (contractual is okay).
Are an international candidate.

Educational Certificates: Final mark sheets/completion certificates for your highest qualification (Class 10 onwards). Provisional certificates might not suffice; final documents are key.

PM Internship Scheme Step-by-Step Guide to Applying Online
Follow these steps carefully when registrations open:
Visit: Go to the official website: pminternship.mca.gov.in

Register: Click the “Register” link on the homepage.
Fill Details: Complete the registration form accurately and submit.
Resume Generation: The portal will automatically generate a resume based on your entered information. Review it thoroughly!
Apply for Roles: You can select and apply for up to 5 internship opportunities. Filter based on your preferences: Location, Sector, Functional Role, and Qualifications.
Submit & Download: Finalize your application, submit it, and download the confirmation page immediately.
Keep Safe: Save a hard copy and digital copy of the confirmation for future reference.
PM Internship Scheme Reservation and Selection Process
There are no formal reservation quotas (like SC/ST/OBC) mandated for these internships.
The selection focus is on diversity and inclusion.
Partner companies set their own selection criteria based on role requirements.
The portal aims to ensure candidates from varied backgrounds get fair consideration.

Simply use the Username and Password you created during registration to access your dashboard on the portal anytime.
The Internship Experience: Stipend, Duration & Beyond
Stipend: You will receive a total of Rs. 5,000 per month. The company contributes Rs. 500 (subject to attendance/policy), and the government contributes Rs. 4,500, paid directly into your Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT.
Duration: The internship is a fixed 12-month commitment.
Job Guarantee? No. Completing the internship does not guarantee a job offer. Employment depends entirely on the company’s needs and your performance during the internship. Remember, the internship itself does not create a formal employer-employee contract with the Ministry or the company.
Reapplying: If you drop out or complete the internship, you can reapply after one year from your original start date.
Switching Internships Midway? No. If you leave your internship before the 12 months are up, you will be barred from applying to any other PM Internship for one year from your original start date.
Performance Tracking & Growth
Your progress will be formally evaluated. Expect quarterly feedback reports from your supervisor and HR.
