What is PSC 10^th Level Exam

The Kerala Public Service Commission has made the new syllabus and exam pattern for the Kerala PSC 10th Level Exam available on its official website.

The selection process includes a Common Preliminary Exam and then a Mains Exam/Skill Test, depending on the post and the candidates’ qualifications. The preliminary exam is a 100-mark OMR-based test with three sections, completed in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Each correct answer scores 1 mark, there’s no penalty for incorrect answers, and unanswered questions don’t affect your score.

PSC 10^th Level Posts

The preliminary exam marks the first stage in the Kerala PSC Recruitment process.

To progress in the Kerala PSC’s 10th level recruitment, candidates must successfully pass the preliminary exam. This exam is a key step for securing various positions like Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Last Grade Servants (LGS), Village Field Assistant (VFA), Village Extension Officer (VEO), Junior Assistant, Assistant Prison Officer, Police Constable, Typist Grade 2/Data Entry Operator, Stenographer, and more, conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission.

PSC 10^th Level Eligibility

Candidates who have completed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board are eligible to apply for the 10th Level Preliminary Exam. To be eligible for any Kerala PSC 10th level position, candidates must be at least 18 years old. The upper age limit for applying is 39 years. However, age relaxation has been granted for candidates from reserved categories – 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

PRELIMS EXAM

The Prelims Exam is the first phase of the examination process, featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs) aimed at assessing the candidates’ basic knowledge and aptitude across subjects such as general knowledge, current affairs, numerical ability, and reasoning. The exam pattern for the Kerala PSC Prelims is uniform across all 10th-level positions. It consists of 100 questions, totaling 100 marks, with the questions being objective in nature. MAINS EXAM

The Mains Exam represents the second stage in the Kerala PSC recruitment process. Candidates who pass the Prelims are invited to the Mains, which is followed by a face-to-face interview for successful candidates.

INTERVIEW

Following the Mains Exam, candidates progress to the interview stage. This is the final phase of the Kerala PSC 10th level selection procedure, reserved for those who have passed the Mains Exam. Candidates undergo a face-to-face personal interview. Upon completion of the interview stage, the Kerala PSC announces the final allocation list, which candidates can view on the PSC website or the Kerala PSC Thulasi website.
