Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Qualified candidates will undergo a rigorous Physical Efficiency Test, where they must clear at least five out of eight events. For male candidates, these include a 100-meter run in 14 seconds, a high jump of 132.20 cm, and 8 pull-ups, among others. Female candidates have slightly relaxed standards, such as a 100-meter run in 17 seconds and a high jump of 106 cm. Failure to meet these benchmarks will disqualify candidates from further selection stages.
Training and Probation
Selected candidates will undergo a two-year training program, including one year of pre-service training and another year of practical training. During this period, they will receive a stipend equivalent to the minimum pay scale of the DSP post. Upon successful completion, candidates must execute a bond to serve the Kerala Police for five continuous years, failing which they will incur a penalty of ₹1,00,000.
